To improve employee engagement we need to speak clearly about what we expect from them and behave congruently in an environment of positive empathy and acceptance of differences.
Every individual wants to develop, progress and write a story worth telling; those in your organization want to do it with you, a leader who is concerned about their well-being.
Coaching
One of the most powerful and effective tools for developing executive talent is transformational coaching. Coaching is a communication process based on understanding and empathy, where the coach gives feedback to the coachee about his or her performance.
The beliefs we hold define our behavior, influence our relationships and determine the results we get. A coaching relationship opens a space to reflect on them and review how well they are aligned with our goals. In the diagram below we can see the Results Cycle*.
The coach is the guide who supports executives in their struggle to achieve their personal and organizational goals.
With this process, organizations can, from the heart of the business, generate a lasting and remarkable transformation when they open a space of accompaniment and guidance in which the participants (coachees) clarify their goals individually, review their strategies and attempted solutions to take advantage of the organizational momentum, learn and develop.
